The large and impressive modern pub that was the ‘Pope’s Grotto’ takes its name from the poet Alexander Pope (1688-1744), who had a house on the banks of the Thames near the site of the hotel.
We have 32 beautifully appointed boutique bedrooms. The balcony rooms have Thames views and we love them! We particularly like the view from the huge balcony in room 29, the fabulous bed in room 27 gets many votes as does room 33 with lots of space and two-seater cosy sofa too.
