Our stone landmark mansion houses one of the finest Bed & breakfast accommodations in Gananoque. This charming B&B is located in the historic heart of Gananoque and the 1000 Islands region, only minutes away from the boatline, downtown shopping,marina,restaurants and other points of interest.
Beaver Hall is a unique Georgian-Victorian mansion, constructed in 1826 and renovated in 1870 with a metal Mansard roof and 13 dormers. In 2006 extensive restorations were recently completed to the exterior and interior of the house. The 6800 sq ft house is spacious; the atmosphere relaxed, casual and friendly. The service is helpful and unpretentious and our breakfast is hearty and nutritious.

Services
The living room and parlor, located on the ground floor of Beaver Hall, are available to all guests. You will also have access to the garden. Guests will have access to the library for a variety of books, magazines and boardgames. Tea and coffee are complimentary .
The verandah has a nice view of the garden and is perfect for reading, relaxing or just to enjoy. Take your time reading a book in the ambience of our beautiful Victorian parlor, tastefully decorated and furnished with period antiques to enhance your stay at Beaver Hall.
The Painters Suite
The Painters bedroom and Suite are dedicated to the Beaver Hall Group of impressionist – modernist Canadian Women Painters at Beaver Hall Hill in Montreal around 1920. A colourful book of the painters “The Women of Beaver Hall” is in the room for you to read. Located on the second floor and south-west corner of the house this is one of our favourite rooms, with adjoining suite – sitting room with original (décor) open fireplace and a double size Simmons Hide-A-Bed. This bed is suitable to sleep two children/ teenagers up to 14 years or for one adult comfortably. The bedroom has a beautiful view of the garden. The Painters room has a queen size bed, oriental rugs on the floors and an en-suite 3-piece bathroom. This room and The “Heritage” room are great for traveling couples as they share this part of the house.
The Peninsula Room, ( for one person only )
The Peninsula room is located on the second floor in the east wing and is named after the unique shape of the room. This cozy, light guestroom is suited for the single-traveler as it has one single bed, and an en-suite half bath. The private shower is located down the hall. The 10′ tin ceiling dates back to the late 1800’s and gives a lot of character to the room. An oriental rug covers the hardwood floor.
The Maritime room
The Maritime room is located on the second floor in the east wing and is named after the Maritimes, Nova Scotia, where the hosts Harrie and Agnes “landed” in 1987. This room has a nice view overlooking the garden. The theme in the room is dedicated to the sea and is nicely decorated with soft, calming tones. Oriental rugs cover the hardwood floor. This room has two twin beds ( or turned into king size bed ) and an en-suite 3-piece bathroom with European style towel heater.
The King’s room
The spacious King’s room is located on the second floor in the east wing and is one of our most eye-catching rooms in Beaver Hall. This room has a lot of character with heavy red curtains, red “velvet” wallpaper, and a Victorian period (décor) open fireplace with unique green carved mantel piece. The spectacular view overlooks King Street, the Gananoque River and bridge. The King’s room has a full king size bed and Oriental rugs on the floor. A private 4-piece bathroom with whirlpool bathtub is located to the left outside of the room, the towels are warm on our European style towel heaters.
The Heritage room
The Heritage room is located on the second floor on the west wing of Beaver Hall. Wake up with birds singing in the trees and enjoy the view over the garden. This room has a very special charm and an original heritage atmosphere. There are two Victorian Period beds in this room, one double bed and one twin bed, also oriental rugs cover the floor. En-suite 3-piece bathroom.
The Garden room
The Garden room is located on the ground floor in the east wing with its own access to the verandah and garden. This spacious room is very private, comfortable and unique in its colours. It has, like all the other rooms, a 3-meter high ceiling and a nice view over King Street. The Garden has a traditional Queen size bed and oriental rugs cover the floor. The 4-piece spacious bathroom is en-suite with whirlpool bathtub and a European style towel warmer.
