Julio Lobo , the bar's namesake, sounds like the kind of guy we'd like to share a cocktail with. The Cuban sugar baron with expensive taste is reflected in the opulence of the 1950's themed bar and well-crafted, Caribbean-inspired cocktails. The bar menu is perfect to share and has Central American dishes such as slow braised beef and chorizo meatballs or shredded flank steak slow braised in dark beer and brown sugar. The Lobo Plantation has a handpicked collection of over 250 rums. Sourced both locally and internationally, we believe our collection to be one of the most diverse and interesting in Australia. We feature rums from all over the world but the largest portion come from the following regions: * the Caribbean including but not limited to Antigua, Bermuda, Cuba, Jamaica, Martinique, Puerto Rico, Grenada, St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago * Central America including Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama * South America including Colombia, Venezuela and Guyana. Our collection also includes some of the rarest and oldest variations of the world's most beloved rum brands. By including rums dating back as far as 1930, we are able to show the evolution of rum over the past 80-90 years.
