Like most truly successful things in life, this just evolved naturally. Owner Anthony Kaplan didn't initially plan on setting up a wine bar, initially thinking that Shop and Wine Bar would work well as a café. But after obtaining a liquor licence, Kaplan realised he was onto a winner. Today, try getting a seat at this Bondi favourite on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or even a Sunday night and you would have just about won the lottery. At The Shop we like to keep it simple, healthy and delicious. Hearty meals that leave you satisfied, made fresh with local ingredients and plenty of heart and soul. We’re Bondi’s original small bar. We’re not a big place. We’re cosy. And we like it that way. So be prepared to make eye contact with others and have a friendly smile thrown your way.
