Mojo's Tapas Bar overlooking Bondi Beach is always packed with crowds who flock to enjoy the restaurant's happening vibe and scrumptious food. Day or night sit at the outdoor, cushioned wooden benches, sip sangria and enjoy great Spanish food.
You'll be hard-pressed to find anyone in Bondi who does not like this restaurant. In fact, many hold it very dear to their hearts and regularly set foot into its cosy surrounds for a tapas fix. Consequently, Mojo's is consistently abuzz with the funky tribes of the eastern suburbs, and it always appears that each guest within its midst is having a righteously good time. Dark wooden chairs and tables fill the snug, multi-levelled dining room, and the rustic red walls effuse a warm essence that mingles with the jovial chatter. The predominately Spanish-speaking waitstaff whiz around the floor with piles of terracotta bowls and cocktail top-ups, and while the noise can teeter on raucous, you can't deny these diners their fun; there's nothing more festive than a table full of food and carafes full of sangria.
The menu is extensive, but Mojo's presents the perfect forum for trying a little bit of everything – especially if you're part of a larger group. Chorizo, in my opinion, is a must in any tapas adventure. Add some haloumi, some meatballs and a plate of garlic prawns and you're off to a tasty start. The mushrooms are simply yum, and you'll find the lamb cutlets and the squid get gobbled up very quickly. The fare doesn't break any culinary boundaries, however it is finger-lickin' good and there's a flavour for every palate. Due to its popularity, booking a table is recommended for any day of the week.
