Our Carlisle Central hotel is in the heart of the action, whether you want to admire the 900-year-old cathedral, splash some cash at The Lanes shopping centre or see works both new and old in the Tullie House gallery.

For a dose of world-famous history, head to the unmissable Hadrian's Wall, just a 35-minute drive away, or take in the astonishingly well preserved medieval castle. Fancy a day at the races? You'll find Carlisle Racecourse nearby.

All rooms feature a comfy king size bed with four plump pillows and a cosy duvet. Our on-site restaurant and bar serves breakfast and tasty evening meals.

From the north/south exit the M6 at Junction 43 and follow the A69 Carlisle city centre signs for 1.5 miles. Turn left before the traffic lights at the United Reform Church onto Cecil Street where you will find the Travelodge 200 yards on the left.

Accessible parking bays for disabled guests near the gate. Parking is somewhat limited in surrounding streets for those who do not have a disabled badge. Friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure that the stay was comfortable. Asked for the disabled room and given easily as available. Check in was fast knowing the situation. Good accommodation with level access showering facilities for disabled people. Clean and tidy no issues at all. Excellent food in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Great Accessible stay.
