After opening just six months, Kuki Tanuki has already undergone a refurbishement and rallied up a loyal and devoted clientèle. With ex-Azuma chef, Kei Takamatsu, in the kitchen, the menu offers a blend of traditional and modern Japanese dishes. Beyond the food, Kuki Tanuki also has live music (during happy hour) and offers brunch and bar menus. We're a small little Japanese sake bar/restaurant in Erskineville, dedicated to mixing and pouring some delicious drinks and plating up some tasty Japanese food to accompany. We believe that good drink must be had with great food but the most important ingredient is good company (well, we do admit that some nice tunes don't hurt one bit). We're creative, fun and want to be involved in the community around us.
