The Loft in the Mill provides luxury Dandenong Ranges Accommodation in the heart of Olinda village. The tree clad slopes of The Dandenong Ranges inspire all of us, providing a canvas of green abundance, crisp clean air, a magical milky way and beautiful birdsong. THE LOFT SUITE
Encompassing the entire top floor of The Mill building, The Loft has taken on the role of our Presidential Suite. “Elegant and Timeless” influenced by royalty, high society and opulent palaces, The Loft Suite has been created using a beautiful collection of Ralph Lauren wallpapers, richly painted black dados and luxurious velvet fabrics in the furnishings. Total floor space indoors is 74.2 metres square. Reflections of an eighteen candle chandelier can be seen from the fourty two inch guided mirror that sits above the inviting and elegant walnut mantle and gas log fireplace.
THE HATHAWAY SUITE
Enter through the doors of The Hathaway and be seduced by the ambiance of this suite. Shades of rich red textures in the furnishings, and walls of creams and gold that compliment the glow from the crackling wood fire. Relax in a four-poster double spa which overlooks a sunken bedroom and into the lounge. Behind the beautiful four-poster bed is a spacious west facing balcony complete with our signature wicker balcony furniture setting for two, positioned to capture the afternoon setting sun. Total floor space 54 square metres.
THE KING ARTHUR SUITE
A sultry, sensual suite for The Knight and his Fair Lady combining the charm of medieval times with the luxuries of modern day. Sheer silk voiles, velvets, black, chocolate and gold envelopes this suite and as you relax in the enormous black spa at the foot of the royal bed, you are miles away from the world from which you came. THE DUCHESS’ QUARTERS
This French style suite opens onto a private north facing courtyard set amongst ‘ancient” bluestone walls and complete with the signature ratten outdoor furniture. Enter french doors to a beautifully appointed separate lounge with black plush carpet and white walls. There is a gas log fire with elegant white mantle, black velvet wingback armchairs, and large 42’ TV/DVD. Off the lounge is the bedroom and a luxurious large bathroom with floor to ceiling tiles and a dainty chandelier to enjoy while you are soaking in the double spa.
THE HERB GARDEN SUITE
The Room of Abundance and in all-ways charming, secluded and intimate. Enter through your French doors to your very own private courtyard featuring our signature ratten wicker furniture and enjoy your private sun filled courtyard with garden housing a variety of Herbs.
THE GOVERNOR’S RETREAT
The Governors Retreat is located in The Mill’s adjacent Bluestone Carriage House. From a Juliet balcony, stairs lead to a charming, quiet two story private suite with black dado walls, sloping white wooden ceilings and rich black carpet. Formally known as The Attic, a complete makeover of this private suite has transformed the space and made it a place you will never want to leave. While perfect for couples, there is room for an extra bed downstairs (upon request only) making it equally attractive to small families or girls weekend away.
THE TUDOR
Located in the front right-hand wing of the Mill’s adjacent stone Carriage House, the Tudor Room has a fascinating old world ambience.
THE VICTORIAN
The Victorian Room is a cosy, intimate room with an elegant four-poster bed. Soft in colour and relaxing in space.
THE CARRIAGE HOUSE
The Carriage House is a three bedroom two storey 30 square Bluestone house situated at the rear of The Loft in the Mill property and is modelled on a 19th century stage coach stop. A great option in a great location for family reunions or longer stays, several couples getting away together or even small conferences up to 12 persons. Wireless broadband internet access, fax service available at reception.
