Bistro Franc Bistro Franc, 1 Hanover St, City Centre, Liverpool L1 3DW, UK

Airy, rustic, 2-level setting with stripped floors and framed posters, for classic French dishes.

Situated on the junction of Hanover Street and Duke Street, Bistro Franc is just on the fringe of the ‘Liverpool One’ Shopping Centre. This Gallic eaterie perfectly complements it’s sister restaurants, Bistro Pierre in the Cavern Quarter and Bistro Jacques on Hardman Street.

The two-storey restaurant is sited within Church House, the previous home of the Archbishop of Liverpool. The Décor, like its sibling bistros, is of a classic rustic French theme. The wooden chairs and tables, exposed brickwork,  candles and walls smattered with prints by French artists, altogether create a traditional and authentic ambience.

The warm, inviting and relaxed service is accompanied by fresh and daily changing selection of “entrees” and “plats de resistance”, as well as a variety of mouth-watering Mediterranean dishes. The menus change daily to make use of fresh market produce and this adds to the vibrancy and spontaneity of this bustling inner-city restaurant.

Everyday from 11.45am till 4.30pm, Bistro Franc boasts the “Lunch Rapide” from £8.50 (roast available on Sundays). “Le Pre-Théâtre” menu is available every evening from 4.30pm till 7pm (6.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays) and offers three courses for £12.95. The competitively priced “A La Carte” menu is also available every evening from 4.30pm till 10.30pm. Not to mention the hugely popular “Sunday Wine and Dine” offer which is two courses from the “A La Carte” menu plus a bottle of house wine per person for £17.95 from 4.30 till 10pm (Same offer available on Mondays for students)

Theatre-goers, students, shoppers and the business crowd all gather at Bistro Franc to create an eclectic mix and a wonderful bohemian feel.
