Sydney's post-midnight dining scene is given a spicy boost with the opening of Barrio Cellar, a subterranean collaboration between the owners of Barrio Chino and Spice Cellar. Neon lights on Elizabeth Street lead you down to the basement of the heritage Martin Place building, which has an old-world speakeasy feel. The menu is bursting with spicy Mexican street food, plus the famous Barrio Burger. Tequila and mezcal loosen the tongue and smooth tunes get you in a good mood. Barrio Cellar is a late night tequileria and eatery, providing seasonal Mexican food & cocktails. We specialise in Tequila, Mezcal and Mexican street food, combined with cool beats provided by resident DJ’s who play live on Friday & Saturday nights. Barrio Cellar is nestled in a spacious basement venue, designed by award winning architects and designers Luchetti Krelle. Contemporary and lively, yet cosy and sexy. Open Monday through Friday for lunch & dinner from 12pm and Saturdays from 6pm to late.
