Sydney’s inner-west isn’t known as a leafy landscape, which makes the arrival of the 350-seater Acre, that much more special. Formerly The Camperdown Bowling Club, this urban farm, restaurant, takeaway joint and bar takes its paddock-to-plate philosophy seriously. Sustainable produce is grown in the kitchen garden one day and the next it sits on diners’ plates next door. Acre is a farm-to-table restaurant committed to changing the way people think about & consume food through sustainable practice. Acre Eatery is a farm-to-table restaurant, part of the revitalised community hub Camperdown Commons, that was formerly the home of Camperdown Bowling Club. We aim to educate customers on food consumption and production. We achieve this by providing a sustainable and delicious plate of food that is a better alternative to the sugar-filled and salty processed foods we see in our supermarkets. While this is a lofty goal, we have a very practical approach.
