World Museum is a large museum in Liverpool, England which has extensive collections covering archaeology, ethnology and the natural and physical sciences. Special attractions include the Natural History Centre and a planetarium.

Seasonal opening

All of National Museums Liverpool's venues are open 10am-5pm every day except on 24, 25, 26 and 31 December and 1 January, when they are closed all day.

Parking

• There are a limited number of blue badge parking spaces on William Brown Street, outside the museum. These are owned by Liverpool City Council and we cannot reserve them for visitors. The road surface is cobbled.

In the museum

• Assistance dogs are welcome.
• Wheelchairs are available to borrow - ask at the information desk.
• The main entrance is flat, there are automatic doors and there are lifts to all floors.
• There are toilets on all floors except the ground floor - they are all accessible to wheelchair users.
• On the first floor there is a  'Changing Places' toilet for adults with carers.

Shopmobility

Visitors with mobility problems may like to make use of Liverpool's Shopmobility service. You can hire equipment including manual and electric wheelchairs and electric scooters. The shop is on the third floor of Liverpool One shopping centre,close tothe accessible parking bays in the Strand Street Q-Park. Equipment must be booked in advance and there is a charge.
