The Victoria Gallery & Museum is an art gallery and museum run by the University of Liverpool in Liverpool, Merseyside, England. VG&M is located in the "redbrick" 1892 Victoria Building.
Admission to all galleries, exhibitions and most activities is free.
Enter the VG&M for the first time and you'll find a collection of art and curiosities so varied and exciting you'll wonder why you've never noticed us before amongst all the Liverpool museums.
Witness nightmares in a bottle, a Victorian dental surgery, a fine art collection and an archaeological dig. We told you it was varied.

Access
The Victoria Gallery and Museum (VGM) strives to be accessible to all visitors and we hope we may help you to get the most out of your visit. We aim to provide an excellent service to all visitors and welcome your feedback in order that we may continually improve.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
We do not have a dedicated car-park but car users may use the University's Visitor Car park on Mount Park, 200m away from The VGM. There is a charge for use of the visitor car park.
The route from the car park is along a smooth, flat and level pavement with PELICAN crossings across Brownlow Hill.
Visitors, including coach parties, may be dropped off on Brownlow Hill where there is a dropped kerb.
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area
The Main Entrance has level access and automatic sliding doors.
Reception has a low level counter.
Support Dogs are welcome and can be provided with a bowl of water.
FOR THE SAFETY AND COMFORT OF ALL OUR GUESTS: Backpacks and bags of any kind are SUBJECT TO INSPECTION prior to entry.
Large bags must be deposited in our designated cloakroom.
Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc
There is stair and lift access to the Galleries on the First Floor, and the Museum on the Second floor, along with the Leggate Theatre.
The floor is marble and even on the ground floor.
Stairs are concrete, evenly spaced and broad, with handrail on the right as you ascend.
Gallery Floors are parquet wood and level.
Lighting in the Tate hall and in some of the Galleries is dim to preserve exhibits.
The lift to all floors has Braille labelled controls.
Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lobbies etc
The Cafe is on the Ground floor and is fully accessible. All seating is on one level and waitress service is in operation between 11.30 am and 2.30pm, or upon request.
Public WCs
On the ground floor to the right of Reception, through double doors and then to your left, there are public WCs, including one accessible WC which has an alarm cord and handrails.
On the first floor there are male, female and accessible, with alarm cord, WCs, with a baby changing facility in the female WC
On the 2nd Floor adjacent to the Leggate Theatre there are male female and accessible toilets, again with alarm call system.
Shop
The shop is situated adjacent to Reception, where there is a low level counter.
Additional Information
Staff are trained in Emergency Evacuation procedures, including use of an Evacuation Chair for mobility impaired visitors.
