The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects. It was founded in 1852 and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

The Museum holds many of the UK's national collections and houses some of the greatest resources for the study of architecture, furniture, fashion, textiles, photography, sculpture, painting, jewellery, glass, ceramics, book arts, Asian art and design, theatre and performance.
Admission to the V&A is free
Some exhibitions and events carry a separate charge. Exhibitions are free for Members.

Daily: 10.00 – 17.45
Friday: 10.00 – 22.00
Exhibitions close 15 minutes prior to Museum closing.
Reduced gallery openings on Fridays after 17.30.
Closed 24, 25 & 26 December.

Our galleries are fully accessible and we have a wide range of services for disabled visitors

Blue Badge Parking
There are twelve blue badge parking spaces on Exhibition Road managed by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.
Mobility aids
Wheelchairs and walking frames are available at the information desk in the Grand Entrance.
Stools are available in a range of galleries, please ask a member of staff for assistance.
Induction loops
You will need to switch your hearing aid to the 'T' position. Induction loops are available in the following areas:
Sound enhancement equipment
Neck loops and radio receivers for use on talks and tours are available from the information desk in the Grand Entrance.
Guiding service
Assistance dogs are welcome. If you require a guide to assist you around the building, please book in advance.
