Whitemoor House Southampton Rd, Lyndhurst SO43 7BU, UK

INTRODUCTION

At Whitemoor House we aim to provide comfortable Bed & Breakfast accommodation and to cater for all the needs of our guests. We will always do our best to satisfy the expectations of all our visitors.

It should be noted that Whitemoor House is built on three floors (including the ground floor) and the 2nd floor has, in places, slightly lowered ceilings due to the eaves of the roof. However, the largest part of each room has full standing headroom, even for the tallest of guests.

The following information is provided to help in deciding if Whitemoor House is suitable for your needs.

GETTING HERE AND LOCATION

  • Whitemoor House is a level 7 to 8 minute walk into the centre of Lyndhurst.
  • By car: Whitemoor House is situated on the A35 on the outskirts of Lyndhurst, heading towards Southampton. From the M27 take either Exit 2 or 3 and follow the signs to Lyndhurst. We are on the right very soon after you pass the Lyndhurst village sign. Alternatively, take Exit 1 of the M27, follow the signs to Lyndhurst and drive through the main high street. Keep left at the Ferrari showroom and you will find us on the left as you drive out of Lyndhurst.
  • There is a bus stop 50 yards from our entrance with hourly buses to Southampton, Brockenhurst and Lymington.
  • Ashurst New Forest is the closest Rail Station, which is 2 miles away. Regular Bus services are available from Ashurst to 50 yards from our entrance.       We are able to pick guests up from the station by prior arrangement.
  • Local Taxi services are available:
    • Station Taxis 0800 566 8402
    • Ashurst and Lyndhurst Cars: 02380 293399 / 02381 159156

ARRIVAL & CAR PARKING FACILITIES

  • We ask all guests to contact us to advise your anticipated arrival time so that we can be here to greet you. If your arrival time changes, please do let us know, as we may have planned shopping or similar around your anticipated arrival time.
  • We have enough room in our car park for one car per room. If guests have two cars per room, or a van, it may be necessary for them to park off-site. There is parking in a quiet residential road about 100 yards away.
  • We do ask guests to park as close to the house as possible to make parking easier for all guests. It is also very helpful if guests with longish cars don’t park in the two spaces closest to the front door, as these are the shortest spaces.
  • We are always happy to assist guests with luggage.
  • The car park has a gravel surface.

MAIN ENTRANCE & RECEPTION

  • One step of approx 70mm to the front porch.
  • The front door is approx 690mm in width.
  • The front door is usually locked and a doorbell is available for new guests. Once guests have checked in, they are given a front door key to come and go as they please.

  • We do our best to cater for all tastes and needs but please let us know if you have any particular dietary requirements. If you can do this at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival, it gives us chance to buy anything we don’t already have.
