Australia's godfather of Italian cuisine, Stefano Manfredi, brings you PizzAperta, a surprisingly laid-back pizzeria at Sydney's swanky entertainment complex, The Star. Located on street level overlooking Pyrmont Wharf, the restaurant is convincing the glamorous set to take up carb-loading. Guests dine at communal tables where wood-fired pizzas are served in their cardboard boxes. The menu is split into traditional classics, seasonal creations and Roman focaccia style offerings. Pizzaperta is an open-air piazza style Italianate pizzeria and bar, offering the emerging ‘new wave’ trends of the humble Italian street food with Italian-infused cocktails and a unique wine list. Pizzaperta uses only artisan and unrefined, stoneground Molino Quaglia ‘Petra’ flours, imported from Italy for the very first time to Australia.
