Art museum housing works by JD Fergusson & archives related to modern dancer Margaret Morris.
J D Fergusson was one of the most important and influential artists in Britain in the first half of the 20th century. Born in Edinburgh, with ancestral links to Perthshire, he spent much of his career in France and is now most associated with Scottish Colourist group. The Fergusson Gallery holds his vast collection of artwork and associated archive, along with the archive of his lifelong companion, the pioneer of modern dance, Margaret Morris.
Opening Times
The Fergusson Gallery will operate normal opening hours to Sat 23/12/17. The gallery will be closed for the Christmas break from Sun 24/12//17 – Tue 26/12/17. From Wed 27/12/17 – Fri 29/12/2017, the gallery will be open as normal but will close again from Sat 30/12/17 – Tue 2/1/18 for the New Year break. The gallery will open as normal from Wed 3/1/18.
Facilities
There is no parking at the venue however there is a variety of pay and display, multi-storey and on street parking nearby to suit your needs.
Accessibility
Our facility includes steps with hand rails and a ramp into the building. Inside, most public areas are on one level with fully accessible toilets. You can also use our wheelchair for free during your visit if required. Please note there is no wheelchair or assisted access to Gallery 3.
