Indoor/outdoor seafaring exhibits including scale replicas of the Titanic and a mini-submersible.
An interactive and evolving maritime museum with nautical artifacts, large model ships such as Titanic and submarines made from improvised recycled materials. The museum opened its doors to its first visitor on April 10th 2012, the 100th anniversary of the sailing of the RMS Titanic.
Marvel at the magnificent Titanic 1:10 scale model which size allows you to go inside and explore the Parisian cafe’, the bridge and the Marconi wireless room.
● Get claustrophobic in the sphere of the replica Nautile submarine, one of the mini submersibles that dives 3 miles down to the Titanic.
Send an SOS on the Marconi wireless and hear the awesome roar of the Titanic’s fog horn.
● Peruse the many images of the Titanic in the main building and view art deco ship posters of the era.
● Step on board and bait some creels on the Guiding Star,a West Coast creel fishing boat which was the last built at Inverness’s Thornbush slipway.
● Find things to see and do in the 10 ton steel wheel house of the Achieve fishing trawler from Fraserburgh’s east coast.
Try on a survival suit - see how quickly you can do it.
● Climb aboard a full-scale replica of the Star Of Hope, the first Herring Drifter from Buckie.

Free entry
Access
Limited car access is available right outside the building for drop off and disabled entry only. The two floors of the museum are accessible to narrow chairs as well as the outside grounds to see the boats. All entry into the boats are currently inaccessible to the disabled apart from the Titanic model's replica Parisian Café.
Group Visits
Groups welcome. If you're arriving by bus let us know ahead of time and we'll keep the lay-by clear for a bus. If your group cannot visit during museum opening hours it may be possible to arrange an out of hours visit. Please let us know what date and time you plan to visit and we'll advise if we're able to open for you. This isn't always possible, especially at short notice, so it's best to get in touch well in advance.
Parking
The nearest parking is available at Telford Street Retail Park. 500 yards away across the Muirtown Swing Bridge.
