HMP Peterhead was a prison in the town of Peterhead in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, operating from 1888 to 2013. Since June 2016 the former grounds operate as the Peterhead Prison Museum.
Individuals don’t have to pre-book , however guided tours are only available Wednesday to Sunday (subject to availability) for registered groups1 only, please call well in advance for further information and booking times available on +44 (0)1779 482200
Our tour includes audio headsets (age restriction: 5 & under don’t get due to audio content however they get in for free, 12 & under parental consent required) and usually takes 1 hour 30 minutes, however there are no time restrictions, therefore come along and enjoy the experience at your own pace.
