Located in The Star, Balla as a modern interpretation of traditional Italian cuisine featuring a wood-fired grill serving authentic regional Italian dishes. The restaurant's Aperitivi Bar welcomes guests for pre-dinner drinks or fast-tracked pre-theatre dining. The dining experience is enriched with beams of sun light and stunning views of Pyrmont and the city through the floor to ceiling windows.

Stefano Manfredi's Balla is named after the futurist poet and painter Giacomo Balla, who was a major influence in the Italian Futurist art movement, of which Milan was the centre in the early 20th century. The sleek glass encased restaurant seats 160 people, including an Aperitivi Bar and private dining room. Guests will be able to enjoy a memorable dining experience in Balla's sweeping arc-shaped avenue overlooking Sydney's harbour, or enjoy a quick antipasto at the bar with a glass of wine from the extensive all-Italian list. Balla's design was realised through a collaboration between Luigi Rosselli Architects and Frost* Design.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Stefano Manfredi redefines classic Osteria cuisine with a menu that features fresh seafood, meat and vegetables cooked over an 100 year old seasoned iron bark wood-fired grill. The Balla wine list sits perfectly alongside Manfredi's menu, offering an all-Italian selection not found anywhere else in Australia.

This restaurant has great views overlooking Pyrmont Bay & Daring Harbour. We were going to a show, so, had the Pre-Theatre menu. I had the pork cutlet, it melted in my mouth! The wait staff were attentive, even-though they were busy.
