King Street cafe, Flour Drum, pays homage to the humble farm, a message you'll get when you see the 12-metre pastoral mural painted on the back wall of the dining room. The Newtown eatery has quality, country-grown produce at the heart of its operation and it's all poured into a healthy Modern Australian menu that's as impressive as it is comforting. Coffee is supplied by Blind Coffee Roasters, an artisan operation based in Mascot. Seasonal, simple and fresh. Welcome to Flour Drum Newtown where rustic food is served with a refreshingly modern approach in a warm, welcoming setting. Inspired by traditional preparation techniques and a simple handcrafted approach to cooking, our daily menu features in-season produce paired with the finest locally sourced ingredients from likeminded artisan suppliers. We also take a housemade approach to our menu. All our jams, muesli, baked beans, cakes, sweets and pies are made in our kitchen, including our very own peanut butter and pie sauces.

Very stylish & cozy brunch cafe inner Sydney. Service is quite good & staffs are fast paced. Coffee is one of the best I can say in Sydney. Me and my partner loved so much. I have ordered quiche with salad which was really tasty while my partner had a selection of mushrooms. Spacing inside the restaurant is good and the access leveled from the sidewalk
