When we arrived and the receptionist welcomed us and told us our room was ready on the ground floor and had disabled facilities. This was extremely welcome as partner has limited disability. The room was extremely comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep. The shower was excellent and very simple to operate and everything was very clean. Breakfast was given in our room which was quite helpful to my partner. will certainly look at Travelodges for future accommodation. Nice stay and satisfied with the services.

I believe anybody staying here should know my experience of this hotel, last night the 28th June while I was falling asleep in bed in complete darkness at 11.00pm my door was opened with the master key, no knocking just came in, the young voice said, housekeeping just seeing if you are here? I shouted back yes, then they left, obviously I was now wide awake and immediately got dressed and went down stairs to reception to find out what was going on.
When confronted the English night porter said we come up because we have your key? Another foreign porter came round the corner with a key to my room, I dangled my key in their face and returned to my room.
Needless to say I didn’t get any sleep that night thinking about their true intentions
What if it was a girl sleeping alone and that happened?
I asked in the morning for the general manager, I was told he was on annual leave and the young woman tried to make excuses for what happened the night before, never a good tactic, she told me there was a form on the website if I wanted to complain, surprise, surprise, I can’t find one
So I will spend the evening writing on every review website I can until travel lodge decide to return conversation. Don’t worry I am third of the way through a 12 night stay so will have plenty of time to not miss any.
Funny thing is tonight I came in and one of the beds was left in a diagonal position in my room, maybe a forgetful chambermaid? But no change of towels/toilet roll/etc so can I presume he/she just came in to let me know they had been in my room agin for no reason?
