"Chef Aon" has been working at many Thai restaurants in Toronto in the past several years. She is from Supanburi where is just a hundred kilometres north of Bangkok. When she was young, she got a nice vegetable farm and every morning she and her mom picked up some fresh vegetables from the farm to cook. Aon always followed her mom in the kitchen and learned how to do a home cooking from mom.
Aon's education background is a nurse. She worked as a nurse in Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok for years. She dealt with many local patients as well as international patients. She loves to take care of patients and customers, and she wants them to be healthy and be strong. Throughout her nursing career, she found out that all international patients that she took care of love Thai culture especially Thai food.
After Aon married with a Thai husband, Aon decided to quit her nursing job and followed her husband to Toronto in 2009. This is what she always dreamed of coming to abroad and wanted to show her cooking talent to foreigners. She spent 3 years working at well-known Thai restaurants. Her unique cooking style is truly authentic that is inherited from her mom.
Now she has an opportunity to open her own restaurant, Jatujak, the only authentic home cooking Thai food. We guarantee the freshness and a taste of her food is very close to the street food in Thailand.
"Jatujak" the weekend market in Bangkok is the largest market in Thailand and the world's largest weekend market. The market offers a wide variety of products including household items, clothing, Thai handicrafts, religious artifacts, collectibles and also the street style food.

The original outpost on Kingston Road is primarily a takeout and delivery joint, while the younger restaurant on Victoria Park can accommodate double the guests in a full service, 40-seat dining room decorated with flags and chalkboard illustrations. Food was fantastic and so reasonably priced. Only downside was our food came out at very different times and the servers weren’t very responsive or available. But the food more than made up for it. It’s also a very nice, trendy place inside!
