Maurice Dobson Museum & Heritage Centre is a restored Georgian Yeoman's residence where Darfield's long history is brought to life! Darfield Museum!
On display at Darfield Museum are artefacts that Maurice Dobson left behind to be displayed in the Museum as well as two rooms that have artefacts that show Darfield's long industrial and social history. If you wish, a guided tour is available as well as space for groups and schools wanting to visit and look around the museum.
Refreshments are available in the Cafe-Gallery where tea, coffee and homemade cakes are available. There are also monthly exhibitions with local artists work ondisplay. Free WiFi is available in the Cafe-Gallery.
The museum shop has on display many local products such as hand made cards, crafts and postcards. Children are welcome too with small toys on sale. Volunteers in our shop are happy to provide local leaflets and information about where to eat and other activities happening in Darfield.

Visits to Your Group
Volunteers from the Museum are happy to visit all manner of groups over a wide area, including schools, to give illustrated talks about aspects of the Museum. Please enquire as above.
Accessibility
We regret that at the present time wheelchair access is only available onto the outdoor patio. We hope that better access can be made available in the future.
Dogs only allowed on the outside patio area excepting guide and assistance dogs.
There is safe storage on-site for bicycles.
