Omaw is an American eatery located at 88 Ossington. Avenue in the heart of Toronto's historic Ossington Village. Our fare predominantly draws inspiration from different regions across the continental United States. Omaw, a much-anticipated collaboration between chef Matt Blondin (Acadia , Momofuku Daisho ) and the Food Dudes (Brent McClenahan and Adrian Niman), is a Southern-inspired restaurant in what used to be nightlife party place LeVack Block on Ossington. Currently, the ground-floor front room is serving dinner and drinks while the separate back space is a weekends-only lounge and late-night snack bar with a speakeasy-esque vibe run in partnership with the John Doe Group (also behind The Addisons Residence ). There are also future plans for the upstairs of the heritage property.

Most of the food is exceptional and thoughtfully designed. This is meant to be a tapas restaurant, so it’s better to come with a group. Expect to get two dishes each. The fried chicken is worth common back for and enough to feed one if you come alone.
