The renovation of the Anatomy Museum in 2009 – driven by the Centre for eResearch and the Performance Foundation at King’s – transformed a near-derelict sixth floor area at the heart of King’s into a fully digitised, creative and flexible space well suited to a range of artistic, research and teaching activities.
Today, facilities include a sprung performance floor, immersive screen and sound environment, white wall storyboarding with e-beam facilities as well as software to support thinking, deliberation, and creativity. The space benefits from an adjacent green room, with basic catering facilities.
The Anatomy Museum is located in the heart of London on King's College London's Strand Campus. It is situated on the 6th floor of the King's Building above the Chapel.
It can be accessed either via the Unversity quad or via the main entrance to the building on the Strand. The nearest underground station is Temple, also close by are Embankment, Charing Cross, Covent Garden and Holborn.
The Anatomy Museum is a curated space, programmed and managed by King’s Cultural Institute. It accommodates a wide range of activity – with a programme of public events that includes the National Theatre Live at King’s – and, subject to availability, may be booked by internal and external users.
