Explore fun and interactive exhibits, become part of the action with awe-inspiring live science shows and demos, immerse yourself in the stunning nature of the South Downs National Park and be mesmerised by spectacular shows in the UK's largest standalone Planetarium.

Immersive exhibits: Feel your senses come alive as you journey through the sights and sounds of an exciting new interactive sound, hearing and vibration experience. Venture into an enormous 10m long guitar, climb inside a giant ear, try your hand at British Sign Language and even join the rescue mission to save Humphrey the Humpback Whale.

Spectacular live science: Take a seat and watch as science comes to life during the Science Centre's free live show. Experience exciting demonstrations, explosive wow moments and fun audience participation. Show themes change regularly so make sure you reserve your space each time you visit. And get set for more explosive live science on a massive scale! Look out for fire, ice and loads of exciting science experiments in Science LIVE, taking place right on the exhibition floor throughout the day.

UK's largest standalone Planetarium: Sit back and relax with a truly unforgettable experience in the UK's largest standalone Planetarium. The 360° screen will put you right in the action as you fly through the Solar System and discover more about the stars, constellations and planets. With shows created for younger audiences, families and those with sensory sensitivities, this is not to be missed.

Adventures in nature: Let nature inspire you in the indoor/outdoor experimentation zone, Bio:Space, and the exciting outdoor adventure play area. Have a go at challenges themed around the Science Centre's stunning location in the South Downs National Park and head outside to find out more about the birds, bugs and plants of this ecologically important area.

Facilities

On-site visitor car park including designated disabled bays. A parking charge of £2 applies. Free parking for Annual Pass holders.

Wheelchair accessible exhibition and planetarium, with a roll-on roll-off lift.

Toilets for boys, girls, gents and ladies. Accessible toilets on each level (no hoist or changing table).

Coat/bag stands for visitors, where items may be left at the owner's risk.

Café serving hot and cold meals and snacks, drinks and cakes.

Picnic facilities: there is an outdoor picnic area adjacent to the café. There is also an indoor area of tables and benches located on the lower floor.

Science Shop  with a wide range of interesting and unusual toys, gifts and souvenirs to continue your STEM journey at home.
