We are located in the picturesque village of Burwash which looks out upon the High Weald of East Sussex, this Country Inn has played host to travelers for over 300 years. For three centuries tourists, pilgrims and weary businessmen have all found great hospitality and a great night’s rest here.
Our Hotel and Motel offers great accommodation; a place to relax or to host your event, wedding reception or function. Our excellent restaurant caters for hotel guests, visitors, tourists and villagers alike. For centuries the Inn and Hotel has been at the centre of Burwash village life; a place where locals and travelers both, enjoy a great selection of real ales and a warm friendly welcome.
While you stay with us you might like to consider visiting some local attractions; Rudyard Kipling's National Trust home of Bateman's, which you could walk to from the Hotel. Bodiam Castle is only 20 minutes drive away, Herstmonceux Castle and Pevensey Castle are both close to the place where invading Norman French landed in 1066, only a few miles away from our Hotel across beautiful countryside.
Hastings, Tunbridge Wells and the A21, a convenient route up to London, are all within very easy reach. The coast is a short drive away and there is plenty for the kids to do nearby too.

We have 8 rooms available,All are either a Twin or can be made into a Super King, each with en suite and amenities, including Coffee and Tea making facilities and television. Featuring en suite bathrooms, the relaxed, cosy rooms also come with TVs and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Some rooms feature 4-poster beds or garden views.
Enjoy a relaxing rest in your room and join us later for a drink at our bar, or a wonderful meal at the Hotel Restaurant. Amenities include complimentary cooked breakfast.
