At Ashby House, we encourage you to linger over breakfast, share your stories and meet the world.
You will not find a TV, though we do have WIFI and a computer, if you need to stay in touch, check a flight or print a boarding pass.
Suites, Rooms, Reading and Relaxing
Ashby House rooms are spacious and comfortable. Choose from Twin, Double or King Size, each offering either private or en-suite washrooms with little luxuries like French Milled soap and organic hand creams. We can also accommodate families and those requiring an additional child/teen room.
You may choose to read one of our 10,000 books in the parlour or on the porch in the company of MacLeod, our Scotty or Apollo, our orange tabby. Keep a look-out for Edgar, a wild crow that we nursed back to health as a fledgeling, who can often be found in the bird bath in the English Garden.
Organic, Fair Trade, Ethically Sourced and Home Made
For breakfast, we let you choose from a selection of seasonal fruit, yogurt, hot or cold cereals, bacon, sausage, eggs any style, multi-grain or specialty breads, homemade jam or marmalade, organic, fair trade coffee, teas both English and herbal or hot chocolate. All food locally sourced, organic where possible and cooked to order. With notice Ashby House caters to special diets and preferences such as vegetarian and gluten free.

JAMES MACNEILL WHISTLER SUITE
Sunny and bright, The James MacNeill Whistler Suite sits at the front of the house over the English Garden. Enjoy ample room in the double bed with walk in shower in the en-suite, antique wardrobe and bistro set for two.

SIR WALTER SCOTT ROOM
This suite is available as two twins or one king sized bed. Cozy and quiet with beautiful antiques and a plethora of books. Soak and relax in the Victorian Clawfoot Bathtub in your private washroom down the hall.
Wireless internet, hairdryer, ironing board and toiletries provided including imported French Milled soaps and organic hand cream.

KLIMT GARDEN SUITE
Our largest suite is the Klimt Garden Suite; perfect for families wanting to stay together or business travellers needing extra table space. This suite is available as two twins or one king size bed plus a double Murphy/wall bed that can be lowered as needed. In winter, sit by your private fireplace with one of the many books or games in the room. Soak and relax in the Victorian Clawfoot Bathtub in your private washroom down the hall.

Elegant rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows provide Wi-Fi (fee), flat-screens, Netflix, and tea and coffeemaking equipment; some add views of the water. Suites have living areas, minifridges, balconies, and/or city or mountain views. Room service is available 24/7.
Electric charging stations are free. There's a restaurant, a gym, a rooftop garden and a hot tub. Valet parking and ballrooms are offered. The complex has a casino.
