Accommodation

The Old Wash House

The Old Wash House is a lovely new cottage for two people situated in the guest wing of our traditional limestone farmhouse. Many years ago the lovely kitchen was once a barrel ceilinged wash house with an old copper to boil the water for the weekly wash!

You have a small entrance hall with hanging space for coats, a cosy sitting room with log stove, books (and a big flat telly if you need it). This leads to a warm and spacious kitchen-dining room.

The light and comfortable kitchen dining room, with its glass roof and panoramic views used to be the old barrel ceilinged wash house with an old copper for heating the water. Now it has a small, simple but well equipped kitchen and a big table where you can relax and watch the cows go to and fro to milking.

The back door, leads up old stone steps to a tiny patio area with garden furniture, but, of course you can also enjoy the big country garden at the front of the house too.

Beechenhill Cottage

A real hideaway for two, tiny warm and peaceful, in it's own walled garden with not another house in sight. Once a stallion pen, Beechenhill Cottage now has a mural ceiling with vines and doves and a real fire and DVD player for cosy evenings.

The Cottage is heated by our massive wood pellet biomas boiler, so you can be as warm as toast any time of day or night and have lashings of hot water.

Oversleep in the delightful bedroom with its old polished pine and king-sized canopied bed (well, it is just so quiet). Bed linen is beautifully laundered pure cotton.

Cottage by the Pond

Beautiful Cottage for Six- wheelchair accessible

This cottage, equipped and furnished with care, was converted from the old milking barn and designed to be accessible to everybody, including those with wheelchairs. Children are most welcome. A cot and high chair are available and included in the price.

It sleeps six people in three bedrooms and has two bathrooms. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms with a small en-suite bathroom between them. The third bedroom nestles up in the rafters, up a tiny staircase. The large wheelchair accessible bathroom is on the ground floor.

The large ground floor bathroom has a bath and a wheel-in, flat floor shower. There is a well equipped kitchen and large sitting room with dining area and whose large patio window looks due south over a little courtyard, the walled pond and the rolling farm land. There is a log burner and a DVD player for cosy evenings in.

Great place and well accommodated for disabled people. We were here in group and everybody had a good time. Self serving , six bedroom cottage has ground floor bedrooms and bathroom, all floor plan was easily accessibly by a wheelchair user, hoist, shower chair, n electric profiling bed are the most notable characteristics of the cottage. The thought that has gone into this is incredible far from the stick a hand rail in the toilet, instead every need is catered for, something that unfortunately is not found often. The owners were fabulous hosts and wonderful person. If you want peace and quiet to re-charge your batteries this is the place to visit We certainly will be coming back.
