While our sister restaurant, the Pomegranate mirrors the delectables of home style Persian cuisine, Sheherazade reflects Persian food as is usually eaten in the bazaars (Dizi) or cooked out in nature on an open air grill (kabob), on the long days of summer, in the shade on the side of a mountain, by the riverside or in the baghs(gardens). The name and decor are inspired from a visit to Tehran where we encountered a gallery showing the works of 19th century Qajar painter Sani ol Molk. His works depict the legendary stories of 1001 Nights, the central figure, quintessential storyteller Sheherazade herself.

Food brought a tear to my eye. So delicious and reminded me of my grandmas cooking. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant. Superb quality food! Not suitable for wheelchair bound guests as there are many steps at the entrance.
