Free maritime visitor centre in a Royal Naval College with an opulent, 18th-century hall and chapel.
The Visitor Centre at the Old Royal Naval College is the best place to begin your trip to Greenwich. With fun activities for all ages you can explore more than 500 years of Greenwich's history through interactive displays, historical artefacts, costumes and more!
Discover Greenwich's history
The permanent exhibition houses several historical artifacts. Sir Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor's design models of the buildings, presented to the Royal Hospital for Seamen's royal patrons, are housed here, as well as archaeological finds from the old Tudor palace. You can also see naval uniforms and archive footage of the site from the days of the Royal Naval College.
Interactive exhibits
There are plenty of interactive exhibits for children and children-at-heart. Dress up as a Naval Pensioner from the Royal Hospital, try on jousting armour and have a go at building the site yourself!

One of the best visitor centres I have visited, with a large, informative and interactive exhibition area, with an information desk with helpful staff and wheelchair friendly. Reception desk was easily accessible from the entrance. Also there is hearing assistance system for disability peoples. Also accessible toilets were available at the centre with great level access. The museum was very interesting as well. Go and get the visit.
