The Museum building will be closed from 5.00p.m. on Saturday 23rd December and re-open on Saturday 30th December, it will then be closed until Tuesday 2nd January.
Archives & Local Studies will close at 5.00p.m. on Saturday 23rd December and re-open at 10.00a.m. on Wednesday 10th January. This extended closure of Archives includes the annual closure week where staff work on collections to make them accessible to the public.

Clifton House, built in 1783, and its grounds were formerly the property of the Walker family who ran the Rotherham Ironworks.
The Walker family was a pioneer of Rotherham industry. They were part of the new breed of business people who prospered as a result of the Industrial Revolution.

There are disabled parking spaces available in both car parks.
Disabled toilets are available in the Museum, garden house and water splash area. The water splash also has disabled changing facilities and hoist.
The play area has accessible equipment so everyone can join in the fun.
There is a network of wheelchair and pushchair friendly paths throughout the Park.
Mobility scooters are free to hire for a returnable deposit from the garden house.
