The two cottages have been created from an ancient stone barn into two lovely self-contained holiday cottages offering the highest standard of accommodation and comfort including WIFi yet retaining many original features. They have both been awarded the coveted 5-star grading Gold Award - the highest grade given by the tourist authority.
Riding House Farm is a traditional Derbyshire hill farm rearing beef and sheep. It nestles under the Losehill Ridge with wonderful south facing views across the Hope Valley. It is a walkers’ paradise with direct access to the footpath network. From your doorstep you can take the footpath directly to Lose Hill ridge and enjoy another spectacular view over the Edale Valley to the famous Kinder Scout. Then walk to Mam Tor or drop down into the Edale valley.
Riding House Farm is a 15 minute walk along lanes and footpaths to the centre of the picturesque village of Castleton, home to Peveril Castle and the spectacular Peak, Speedwell, Treak Cliff and Blue John caverns. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Lyme park and the plague village of Eyam are all nearby.
Well behaved and friendly dogs are welcome by arrangement .
