Our space
With a seating capacity of 450 and world class acoustics, the main auditorium in the Bramall provides an intimate environment for both performers and the audience – the perfect setting for enjoying entertaining comedy nights and classical music evenings.
Our history
The Bramall opened its doors in June 2012, providing the Midlands’ with an exciting arts and entertainment venue. The Bramall sits alongside the impressive Great Hall and is an extension of the Aston Webb building, completing the red-brick semi-circle vision of Sir Joseph Chamberlain, which has been at the heart of the University since 1909.
Arriving at the University of Birmingham
The easiest way to find the Bramall is to locate the clock tower, affectionately known as ‘Old Joe’, which you can see from most locations on the University’s Edgabston campus.
Once you’re at the foot of the clock tower, you’ll notice the semi-circle of red brick buildings ahead of you, known as Aston Webb which the Bramall is part of. The Bramall is the building to the left.
Accessibility
The Bramall is a venue for everyone. Designated Blue Badge holder parking can be found adjacent to the Bramall and can be reserved in advanced when booking your ticket, just let us know.
Latest Reviews
I visited the beautiful Bramall Music Building to attend a concert. The building is contemporary but fitting to the surrounding area. The auditorium was clean, comfortable with generous seating and great acoustics. Very good disabled toilet facilities. Option of stairs or elevator and they appear to have excellent disabled facilities too. The staff in the venue were helpful, smartly dressed and nothing was too much trouble for disabled visitors. Great experience.
