From the design to the décor to the menu, Moliciero was conceived to evoke the image, the texture and the taste of Portugal. Moliceiro is a small, long boat, pinewood built, from the northern Portuguese town of Aveiro. One notable aspect of these boats is their ornamental paintings following strict rules of popular origin. Inspired by this rich historical tradition, Moliceiro Restaurant crafts inspired dishes reflective of Portugal’s diverse landscape and sea coast, history and culture.
Moliceiro is a family-inspired restaurant in the heart of the vibrant Ossington, south of Dundas, community. Among so many different dining places, Moliceiro stands out as the only Portuguese fine dining in the area. The owner, Frank Bento, developed a passion for Portuguese food since 1996, when his family purchased a Portuguese Churrasqueira in the heart of downtown Toronto. Being first generation Portuguese-Canadian, he combined his knowledge with his refined taste for Portuguese cuisine to create Moliceiro.
Moliceiro is elegant and stylish, yet relaxed and welcoming with warm, excellent service and always an enchanting experience, rooted by tradition and inspired by contemporary food. We celebrate food in its simplicity & authenticity. We offer catering services for any event from weddings & anniversaries to private dinner parties.

Food was very good and service was efficient and friendly. For my dinner I choose the chef’s menu with wine hamonization, it was a very pleasant experience. 1 step at the entrance. The space inside the restaurant is good for abled person but not for wheel chair user.
