Overlooking Tweed Valley and backed by Glentress Forest, this long-standing spa hotel and conference venue is a 14-minute walk from the Tweeddale Museum and Gallery, and 1.2 miles from Peebles Golf Club. Our hotel is at the heart of Peebles in more ways than one.
Rooms
Our bedroom refurbishments are most certainly over the hump, and by gosh, the old girl’s looking great. You might open your door to find a room chic and simple in design, or a little more dated and eagerly awaiting a makeover, but one thing you can count on is a super comfy bed, and waking up to the most delicious full Scottish breakfast.

Drive right up to the front door

Stay
Need a bit more space? We have large front facing rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms – including handrails and a seat. We also have inter connected rooms, if you want to be close to a friend or loved one. Not sure? Just give us a call and we’ll talk you through the options.
Eat
There’s plenty of room at our tables. We’ve made it easy for people in wheelchairs to maneuver around our restaurant. What about the toilets? There are accessible ones near to the restaurant.
Spa
A quick half hour pick-me-up. Or a full day of gentle pummeling, heady aromas and new sensations. Just let us know what you have in mind, and we’ll book you into one of our treatment rooms. Simply pop in the lift and take it to our spa at basement level.
Leisure
Our Leisure pool has changing/shower facilities and the pool is accessible by wheelchair. At the moment don’t have a hoist for lifts into the water.
Kids
Everyone in our kid’s club team is fully-qualified, trained and registered to provide fun, educational care. If your child needs specific assistance, get in touch and we’ll do everything we can to make them at home.
Guide Dogs
We are a dog friendly hotel, so it goes without saying, guide dogs and hearing dogs are always welcome at Peebles Hydro.
Latest Reviews
Stayed for one night at this hotel few months ago. The entrance is through a revolving door with a flight of stairs. The other way in is a side door to an extremely small lift with no information about how to find the Reception once you get in the lift. There was barely enough room to get an electric chair in as well as myself and a small luggage case. Our room was fabulous in size although the decor was a bit tired and I know I could have asked for a refurbished room. The wet room was superb with a proper disabled seat and sink for wheelchair. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Staff was professional and friendly. A definite overhaul of the lift is required and lots more disabled parking spaces.
