At STELVIO, we serve the typical cuisine from the #Valtellina region, northern Italy. Pizzoccheri are a luscious Valtellinese dish. It looks like buckwheat flour noodles which are cooked with cabbage and potatoes, and seasoned with plenty of butter and the famous local cheese Valtellina Casera DOP. You should definitely try this one! Valtellina isn't known only for #Pizzoccheri: this valley is a region very famous for its cold cuts, especially Bresaola, for Polenta Taragna (mix of mais and buckwheat flours blended with Valtellina Casera DOP), for cheeses ("Bitto" is the king) and for wines (like "Sforzato"), among the best in Italy. At STELVIO you can also eat the famous "#sciatt" ("frog" in local dialect): fried cheese in small buckwheat balls, served in a cone. It's a great snack or even a starter. You can also try the "zigeuner", which are ribbons of beef sirloin rolled up on a wooden stick, which is then roasted, giving the meat a nice small flavor of the wood. Finally, you also enjoy Taroz, Chisciol, Polenta Burger, Fidelin, Risotti etc... and a luscious collection of dessert chosen for you. If you are going to taste Valtellina local delicacies, sipping a glass of excellent wine, in the centre of Toronto, STELVIO Queen St W is definitely a destination to consider for a food and wine trip!

Fantastic place with the best Italian food we had out of Italy. Italian Staff are welcoming available and pleasant. Taste of the foods are amazing. Tables are too close to each other so no moving space for the wheel chair guests. Flat access from the side walk.
