We welcome you to Lowbyer Manor, our Grade II listed Georgian Manor House, situated in Alston, Cumbria at the very heart of the North Pennines.
This comfortable Manor House is situated on the fringe of Alston town and is an ideal location for exploring this beautiful, quiet countryside undiscovered by most. The stunning surroundings boasts the most free access land in the country. The area is ideal for, fishing, golf, cycling, walking, skiing and is also within easy access to some of the finest grouse moors in the land.
All of our 12 bedrooms offer en-suite facilities, most with showers and some with baths. All rooms also have a hospitality tray offering a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water and biscuits. Flat screen televisions, hair dryers are also provided. Our superior rooms consist of the Derwentwater Room with King size Four Poster Bed and the Stuart room with King size bed which can accommodate a fold down bed for a young person .
Breakfast and evening meals are served in The Dining Room. Breakfast includes a selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurt for you to help yourself and a selection of cooked breakfasts. Evening meals are available. All our food is home cooked freshly to order and we welcome residents and non residents alike. Menus change on a regular basis using local produces where possible. Booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.
We welcome our guests with a complimentary tea or coffee and delicious homemade cake upon arrival in this cosy lounge. This is a delightful room overlooking the garden and fells beyond. With a good selection of books, information on local walks, cycling, driving routes and board games our guests can relax in comfort during their stay. Free WiFi is available in the guest lounge.
