Ash Gill Cottage is ideally located in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of the Lake District National Park.  Whether your preference is up hill, down dale or on water - walking, hiking, cycling, sailing, horse-riding or simply relaxing, you have access to it all directly from your door. A perfect base to sample the delights of the surrounding area, from Swallows and Amazons in and around Coniston Water to fantastic local hostelries serving award winning local beers.

The cottage is both spacious and comfortable and is situated in the lovely hamlet of Torver, approximately 2 miles from Coniston Village, in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Carefully prepared for guests, we can accommodate up to six people and comprises a spacious entrance hall with plenty of space for boots and coats leading to a downstairs toilet/cloakroom, well equipped kitchen and an exceptionally large lounge/dining room with patio door access onto the patio and garden area.

Newly refurbished for Spring 2013 features include new oak flooring through hall and lounge diner, newly fitted slate floored kitchen with appliances, including dishwasher and washing machine and the installation of a log burner to compliment the renovations within the spacious family lounge/dining room.
 
Leave your car - with ample parking for at least 4 cars, you can access the fells and surrounding countryside direct from your doorstep, or visit the two local pubs, both of which have great reputations and offer fabulous food, award winning beers - a warm and friendly welcome awaits you and both are within easy walking distance (150 yards).
 
Room Features
 
Downstairs comprises a sitting/dining room, spacious enough for all of the party includes 2 x 3 seater sofas, 2 armchairs, large flatscreen TV, DVD player and log burning stove.  Spacious dining table seating 8 ensures your party can all eat together.  Kitchen is well equipped, with slate flooring and includes washing machine, fridge freezer and a dishwasher.  There is a downstairs wc/cloakroom with small handbasin.

Upstairs there are three spacious bedrooms with new carpeting, one king size with LED TV/DVD player and en-suite facilities (double shower, wc and hand basin) with slate floor. The two twin bedrooms (one with TV/DVD player) share a family sized bathroom with large bath and over-shower, toilet and hand basin with slate floor.
