Rissons Restaurant and Rooms is run by Anne and Scott Baxter, who purchased the premises in 2002 and have refurbished the rooms and restaurant, and developed an imaginative and innovative range of menus, culminating in many awards.
Accomodation
There are ten well equipped and comfortable bedrooms providing single, double, twin accomodation, and including a double room with an additional bed. All rooms have en-suite facilites.
All our rooms are simply, but tastefully decorated, and all bathrooms are fitted with quality ware. .
Residents can also relax in our spacious and comfortable lounge complete with feature wood burning stove.
Our accommodation is available seven days a week, although we are closed for the first week of January. Breakfast is served from 7.30am 9.00am, Monday to Friday, and from 8am 9.30am, Saturday and Sunday. All prices include full breakfast.

Our award winning restaurant is the focal point of our business, and offers the best of Scottish cuisine, in stylish surroundings, with a relaxing atomosphere, and affordable prices.
The restaurant has claimed many awards since Scott and Anne acquired the business in 2002. Scott is mainly a self taught cook, having gained experience at the world famous Turnberry Hotel (Troon), Braeval Old Mill (Aberfoyle), and Mitchell's Restaurant in the West End of Glasgow.
The Risson's philosophy is simple food cooked with attention to detail with an added Risson's twist. Our recipes use fresh stocks and sauces, and include home-made pasta, bread and tablet. The menu reflects the array of delicious fresh produce available from local suppliers.
