Access Statement for The Park Bistro
This access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs, but aims to accurately describe the facilities and services that we offer all our guests/visitors.
Introduction
Situated next to the Union Canal on the outskirts of Linlithgow, The Park Bistro offers an excellent, diverse menu and we do our best to cater for any dietary requirements.
The Linlithgow railway station and main attractions are 2.5 km west of the restaurant and a 40 minute walk along the canal.

- Taxis are available at the nearest railway station in Linlithgow and accessible taxis can also be booked in advance.
- All of our menus (including gluten-free and dairy-free) and this access statement are available in larger print on request.
Car Parking Facilities and Arrival
- There is free parking on site for customers only. The car park is situated at the front of the restaurant with around 25 spaces and 2 clearly-marked Blue Badge spaces (7.5m from the patio beside the front entrance).
- There is an overflow car park with 10 parking spaces just across the road from the Restaurant.
- The car park surface is concrete, has no kerbs and the patio is paved.
- The main entrance door is 890mm/35ins wide, is manual and opens outwards. The door is relatively heavy to push however our staff are more than happy to assist should you need any help entering the restaurant.
- The car park is well-lit at night.
Restaurant, Bar & Bar Area
- The restaurant and bar are level entry from the side entrance and have level access throughout. The bar area has a sofa available and the restaurant has upright chairs without arms. Tables and chairs are well spaced apart and all tables have a clear height from the floor of 730mm/28.7ins.
- Lighting throughout is natural daylight with overhead lighting and candles on the tables are lit at night.
- The flooring in the restaurant is wood throughout.
- The restaurant is table service for breakfast, lunch and dinner although drinks can be ordered at the bar
- We do our best to cater for all dietary requirements and we have gluten and dairy-free menus available on request. - Large print menus are also available on request and our specials are displayed on blackboards. All our food produce is locally sourced where possible.
- Crockery is colour contrasted with the tables where possible and there is background music in the restaurant.
Customer Toilets
- Customer toilets, including a unisex accessible toilet, can be found at the back of the restaurant and there is level access to these toilets.

Really good food in a not so accessible location. Attentive waitstaff and a nice quite environment to enjoy an afternoon lunch. The booths are cozy and the outdoor patio is pleasant on a nice day. Food is great! They can adapt the menu if you have dietary restrictions!
