The hotel interior is furnished with antiques in keeping with the age of the house and log fires burn in the hall, drawing room and bar encouraging one to sit and enjoy the comforts of a genuine country house. The house sits in 40 acres of its own gardens and woodlands and offers peace and tranquillity to all our visitors.
Formal and working gardens surround the house. There is also Ord House Pond that lays to the south of the house, please take care if exploring around here. Past the pond is a large field with sheep in it, the majority of lamb served in our dining room comes from this field. To the west of the house is the working part of grounds, bonfires, barns, herb garden and chickens all reside here. On the east formal hedges will lead you through to ancient stone buildings, walled gardens and a woodland guiding you through to the orchard and vegetable patch.
All twelve bedrooms are individually furnished to a high standard in keeping with the age of the house. They are spacious and all have views over the gardens.
