Edinburgh Airport is Scotland’s busiest airport and welcomed almost 9.8 million passengers in 2013. It is the fifth biggest airport in the UK with over 40 airlines servicing 140+ routes, including New York and Istanbul.
July and August 2013 saw the airport’s busiest months ever, with more than one million passengers travelling through its terminal each month. It is the 5th largest in the UK, in terms of passenger numbers, and employs over 5000 people.

Edinburgh Airport is committed to looking after all of our passengers before you board your aircraft.
If you have a disability or require additional assistance at the airport, you must inform your airline of your particular need at least 48 hours before you fly.
It is advisable to give as much notice as possible for both the outbound and return journeys – this way we can ensure you receive the assistance you require. However, if no notification is made we will make all efforts to assist you.
Even if you are fairly mobile you may still require assistance as there can be long distances within airports.
To receive assistance you must arrive at a designated point no later than two hours before the published flight departure time, or present yourself for check-in no later than one hour before the published departure time.
