My hope is that I can show people that social painting is fun, relaxing and is actually beneficial (just like exercising!) for our everyday lives. I left my career as a banker to pursue my passion and opened up the first Paintlounge in Markham in October 2010. I wanted to create a non-intimidating atmosphere for those who haven’t touched art since grade school to try it again … so I added something else more familiar and incorporated the cafe bar to the social painting space. Many litres of paint and lots of customer feedback later, I opened up my second location in the west end of Toronto in August 2013. To make sure we have our east-end friends covered, our now growing team opened up our third location in April 2014 in Leslieville and relocated our first Markham location in May 2014 to Main St Markham to accommodate more art lovers.

There’s a very small threshold between the sidewalk and the tile floor but manageable. Once you are in there is lots of space to move around. The food is good. There is no specific disabled toilet but there is single unisex washroom and it easy to access but no grab bars in there.
