The West Port is located at the west end of St Andrews’ South Street and is a welcoming haven for travellers and locals alike. It is a lively meeting place for coffee & cake early morning through to dinner late in the evening. A wide ranging menu with something for everyone in light, contemporary setting with traditional comforts, a beautiful garden and a dedicated area for your wee people.
We are named after the historical West Port gate which is Scotland’s best surviving example of a fortified gate and a great introduction to the medieval heart of St Andrews. The West Port is one of the very few examples of a medieval city gate remaining in Scotland.

With our seasonal menu you can rest assured that you will be enjoying fresh local produce all year round! We are open from 10am serving freshly brewed coffee and breakfast. We have a range of breakfast dishes from the hale to the healthy – though, all are hearty.
