New and exciting, Maedah grill provides fresh food, inspired by the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Serving some of the finest Turkish dishes in London, Maedah Grill will delight your senses. Spacious Turkish restaurant with tiled floors and open kitchen, for grilled kebabs and meze plates.
A good-looking Turkish restaurant just down the road from Tayyabs, in Whitechapel. Although food from the Bosphorus is the focus here, dishes from the Mediterranean and the Middle East also feature, served in a dining room nothing short of spacious. There's a private dining room too though, should you want a little intimacy.
The food menu ranges from hummus, falafel, lahmacun and other Middle Eastern mezze to shawarma spits, Turkish salads, steaks and various pide - a traditional Anatolian pizza dish of sorts, cooked in a stone oven and served here with diced lamb, onions, green pepper, parsley, oregano and cheese, or spinach, mushrooms, tomato purée, peas, garlic and olive oil.
It's the house grills that prove most popular though. Cooked over red-hot coals, dishes include skewers of marinated lamb, spicy minced lamb, marinated chicken wings, lamb chops and BBQ king prawns. There's a mixed grill too, for indecisive sorts. Desserts - should you have room - include authentic, sweet and sticky baklava as well as rich milkshakes flavoured with Ferrero Rochers, Oreos and Daim Bars.
