Japanese Canteen The Japanese Canteen, 30 - 33 Minories, London EC3N 1DD, UK

The original japanese canteen opened its doors in St John's Street, Islington, N1 in 1995 and was one of the first and innovative japanese restaurants to offer inexpensive and accessible canteen style dining . The success of this venture led to the first takeaway canteen which opened in Thayer Street, W1 in 1997. We now have shops throughout London serving thousands of customers daily.

We cook hot fresh food daily, ingredients are locally sourced and each shop has its own independent kitchen (menu may differ dependant on kitchen facilities), this gives us total control over ingredients, recipes and quality. Our sushi is always fresh and we endeavour to ensure our fish is from sustainable resources.
