Pre-Arrival

• The park is contactable via the published telephone number, by email and by post.
• There is a bus stop in Hewas Water run by First buses. All buses on this route are low level entry, further details of which can be found at www.firstgroup.com.
• We would suggest that you bring a torch along with you as being in the middle of the countryside it gets very dark at night and we have little lighting on the park.
• St. Austell town centre is some 4.5 miles to the west of us and although we have a shop on site both Tesco and Asda are within 3 miles. Several local taxi companies service the park, details are held at reception or some numbers are displayed in the welcome pack.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities:

The arrival car park is only approximately 10 yards from reception and is all on flat level ground.

Reception

The reception has adequate space for wheelchairs and mobility vehicles; however some areas of the shop are inaccessible for wheelchairs. Staff are always willing to help and provide assistance if required. All information that might be needed during your stay at Meadow Lakes is written in our Welcome Pack and further information can be provided by our reception team. Safety is important to us at Meadow Lakes therefore a 10mph speed limit applies throughout the park. Clearly marked speed humps are also installed.

Touring and Camping

Meadow Lakes has 200 large touring and camping pitches situated in various locations, with views of the surrounding countryside. 11 of these are hard standing pitches and can take up to 40 foot caravans/motorhomes. All pitches have parking alongside. Disabled bathrooms with ramp access are located within our toilet and shower blocks. All of our toilet and shower blocks are spacious and are all accessed by ramps.

Private Family bathrooms are also available. Please ask when booking if you wish to be located close to these facilities and we will endeavour to honour your request.

Accommodation

We have several accessible accommodation options here at Meadow Lakes Holiday Park, which feature a ramp instead of steps and all areas inside including the kitchen and bathroom are accessible with a wheelchair. The aisle is extra wide and there are sliding doors on the bathroom and bedrooms and the shower has a 6″ step into it.

Facilities

The Cosy Cafe is centrally situated across from the reception area and is able to be easily accessed. There is also an allocated pet exercising area located at Meadow Lakes.

The swimming pool at the park is in a large, flat area. Access to the pool area is level and step free.

The swimming pool is accessed through the changing rooms. There is a small concrete ramp outside at the entrance and on the exit of the changing rooms. There is then a ramp and steps all the way down to the poolside. If the wheelchair is extra wide and won’t fit through the standard width changing room door then we have a gate at the back entrance of the pool that can be opened to allow access..
