Set on the edge of Oban’s picturesque Esplanade in the heart of Argyll, Oban Bay Hotel is the ideal base from which to explore Scotland’s West Coast. Convenient to the train and ferry terminals, it is ideal for both leisure and business guests to become immersed into the Scottish Highlands.
Oban lies central enough for a weekend break, longer family holiday or relaxing break with plenty of time to make the most of the hotel’s own pamper areas. The hotel’s spacious sun lounge offers a panoramic view of the bay, the island of Kerrera and the mountains of the Isle of Mull and is suitable for all sorts of events. Modern bedrooms and spacious suites are appointed to a good standard, those front facing benefiting from seaside views.
The stylish Atlantic Bar serves hearty meals throughout the day and the Rannachan Restaurant showcases the very best of Oban’s local produce. The restaurant offers a daily changing menu (depending on the catch of the day!) and a carefully constructed a la carte menu featuring fresh, local seafood and a selection of classic dishes that have been given our twist.
If it’s a break away from the hustle and bustle of city life, then Oban provides that perfect retreat. Use the steam room, sauna and outdoor hot tub with expansive views of the bay to help you feel a million miles away from every day life.

This hotel is unsuitable for wheelchair users as there are small flights of stairs throughout the lower level and hotel entrance itself has steps. There is no wheelchair access. Access is via steps. Disabled parking space was occupied by a vehicle without a permit. I wouldn’t stay here again.
